July 8, 2019
Where did you grow up?
I grew up in O'Fallon, MO which is a suburb outside of St. Louis. Go Cards!
Where did you go to school?
I went to high school at Timberland High School. Then I moved to Kansas City to attend Rockhurst University. Then I attended the University of Kansas for my doctorate in audiology.
Why did you want to become an audiologist?
I wanted to become an audiologist to help others communicate better. Growing up with hearing loss myself, I wanted to be in a profession where I can relate and empathize with having hearing loss. Although my situation is not the same as everyone else, I felt like I could help others navigate life with hearing loss by giving helpful and evidence based treatment strategies.
Who is someone that has had an influence on you in the field of audiology?
Dr. Lauren Mann has highly influenced the way I think and practice audiology. Her wisdom and whole person approach to hearing healthcare stretched my knowledge and understanding of audiology. I have been so fortunate to have her as a mentor and professor!
What is your favorite area of audiology?
I love serving patients in all areas of audiology. In particular, my favorite areas of audiology are working with amplification, tinnitus, and vestibular diagnostics.
At what office(s) do you work?
I am primarily in Lee's Summit at our Lakewood office, but also perform Vestibular diagnostics in the Northland clinic as well.

I love exploring new places - especially the food scene wherever I go. I have always loved anywhere with a beach! Siesta Key was definitely a favorite.
What are your hobbies?
I love to read, spend time outside, and do all the crossword puzzles I can.
